Privacy Policy
This policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain and delete personal information in the TripRide customer app and its related customer web services. It covers customers who browse, book or manage services, make payments, use membership features, or communicate with service providers. Individual rental companies, merchants and payment providers may also provide notices for their own processing.
Your choices: optional camera, microphone, location and notification permissions can be managed in your device settings. Refusing them limits the related feature.
Account and data deletion: you can submit a request without installing or signing in to the app. See the deletion instructions.
1. Information we collect and why
- Account and profile: your phone number, country code, login credentials or verification information, account ID, name or nickname, avatar, email and language preferences, as provided. We use these to create and authenticate your account, maintain your profile and contact you about services.
- Bookings and services: customer and driver names, contact details, nationality, driver age, flight information, selected vehicle and services, pickup/return locations and times, order details, service requests and records of changes. Where a service requires identity or driving-licence checks, the relevant documents you submit are used for that verification and fulfilment.
- Payments and transactions: order and payment references, amounts, currency, payment method, payment/refund status and related records, for payment processing, reconciliation, refunds and dispute handling. Payment credentials entered in a payment provider's checkout are processed under that provider's notice; we receive transaction information needed to manage your order.
- Membership and shopping, where available: membership status, points, coupons, wallet transactions and, for purchases, recipient/contact details, delivery address, purchased items and after-sales requests, to deliver the features you use.
- Messages and support: messages, images, voice recordings, videos, files, locations you send, conversation membership, message timestamps and delivery/read status, for customer support, order coordination and communication. Messages and attachments are stored on our messaging service and cloud storage and made available to the relevant conversation participants.
- Location: approximate or precise coordinates, accuracy and update time when device permission is granted. Section 2 explains when location is obtained, uploaded and shared.
- Device, network and usage: device model, operating system, app version, platform, IP address, network/diagnostic information, locally generated device, anonymous and session IDs, visited pages, interaction events and event times. We use these for compatibility, reliability, security and analysis of service usage and booking flows. Usage events may be generated when the app starts, including before sign-in; signed-in events can be associated with your account. The relevant SDKs may also process device identifiers and network information as described below.
We obtain information directly from you, from your use of the app, and from the service providers handling your booking, payment or support request. Information necessary to create an account or fulfil an order is required for that service; optional permissions and optional profile information are not required for unrelated features.
2. Location information
Location during signed-in use
With location permission, the app obtains and uploads your current location periodically while you are signed in and the app is in the foreground. This is used for location-based service assistance, pickup coordination and an operational map available to authorised operations/customer-service staff with location access. Collection is not limited to pressing a “share location” button or to having an active order. The regular upload task stops when the app enters the background or you sign out.
Maps and sharing in a conversation
Opening a map can use your location to show your position. When you open and use real-time location sharing in a conversation, the app repeatedly obtains your position and sends updates to that conversation's participants. End the sharing session to stop updates. An active sharing session may continue briefly while it is being ended after you leave the sharing screen or switch the app to the background; it is not intended as indefinite background tracking. A location sent as a chat message may remain in the conversation history.
Your control
You can deny or revoke location permission in the device settings, choose approximate location where supported, end a sharing session, or sign out to stop the regular signed-in location task. Other features that do not need location remain available, although positioning and location assistance will be limited. We do not use your location for advertising. Any access requiring a separate operating-system permission is subject to that permission and applicable consent requirements; this policy does not replace an in-app location disclosure or consent request.
3. Device permissions and local storage
- Location: maps, location-based assistance and chat location sharing, as explained above.
- Camera and selected photos/files: capture or upload an avatar, service document or chat attachment when you use that feature. Selecting a file does not authorise us to publish it or read all of your photos.
- Microphone: record a voice message or audio for media you choose to create and send.
- Notifications: order updates, service reminders and new-message alerts. Device settings control notifications; disabling alerts does not erase messages or orders.
- Network, Wi-Fi and device/phone-state access where supported: connectivity, positioning and SDK operation may use network status, device characteristics and permitted device identifiers. Access depends on the platform, enabled SDK and system permission.
The app/web service uses local storage for sign-in sessions, preferences, locally generated usage identifiers, pending events and cached content. You can clear local data through your device or browser settings. Clearing local data or uninstalling the app does not delete information stored on our servers.
4. Sharing and third-party services
We share information needed to fulfil your request with the rental company, merchant, pickup/service partner or delivery provider involved in your order. Relevant chat content is accessible to conversation participants. Authorised staff and technical providers process information for service delivery, support, hosting, security, communication and payment. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to handle fraud, safety incidents or legal claims. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services can process information as our service providers or for their own obligations, depending on the service. Their notices explain their processing. We limit information shared to what is needed for the purpose; optional services are subject to applicable permission and consent requirements.
5. Security and international processing
We use HTTPS for service communications, account authentication and access controls to protect personal information. Access is limited according to service responsibilities and permissions. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Our operator is based in Hong Kong. Rental and other services may take place in other countries, and we use international cloud, map, push and payment providers. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country of residence, depending on the service location, infrastructure and provider. We apply access restrictions and appropriate contractual or other safeguards required by applicable law for such processing and transfers. Information is not restricted to storage in mainland China.
6. How long we keep information
- Account/profile information: while needed to provide your account and services, and then subject to a verified deletion request and any necessary legal retention.
- Orders, payment, refund and verification records: for fulfilment, settlement, refunds, disputes and the accounting, tax, fraud-prevention or other legal retention periods applicable to the transaction.
- Messages and attachments: while needed for the conversation and related service/support records, subject to deletion requests and necessary dispute/legal retention. Recipients may have their own copies.
- Live location: the operational map uses a short-lived latest-location record rather than a route-history feature. Temporary sharing updates expire; location messages deliberately sent to a chat can remain with the chat history.
- Usage, diagnostics and security records: for the period needed for service analysis, troubleshooting and security, after which they are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
Retention depends on the information category, your service history and applicable legal requirements, rather than a single period for all information. If a deletion request cannot be fully completed because retention is necessary, we explain the retained categories, reason and applicable period or criteria. Retained information is limited to those purposes. Backup copies are removed through the applicable backup lifecycle.
7. Request deletion of your TripRide account and data
You can request account and associated personal-data deletion by emailing our responsible privacy team. You do not need to install the app or sign in. You can also request deletion of specific information while keeping your account.
Email a deletion requestIf the button does not open your email app, send an email directly to antcar@aqrelax.com with the subject TripRide account and personal data deletion request.
- Provide the phone number (including country code) or email associated with your TripRide account, and say whether you want to delete the account and associated data or only specified data.
- We verify that you control the account using appropriate account/contact information. Do not send your password, payment-card details or a full identity document in the initial email.
- Our team handles the request, deletes information that can be deleted and notifies you of the result. If limited records must be retained for an unsettled transaction, legal obligation or dispute, we explain the reason and retention criteria. Requests are handled within the time limits required by applicable law.
About the in-app “Delete account” / “注销账号” option: the current option disables the account and revokes login sessions. It does not, by itself, erase all server-side personal information or transaction records. Use the email process above to request deletion of the associated data. Signing out, clearing local storage or uninstalling the app is also not a server-side deletion request.
8. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, a copy or portability of your information, deletion, restriction of processing, or object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent for optional processing and revoke device permissions. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Contact antcar@aqrelax.com; we may verify your identity before acting.
Where required by law, we rely on the appropriate legal basis, such as providing a requested service/contract, complying with legal obligations, consent for optional sensitive processing, or permitted legitimate interests in service security and improvement. You may contact your competent data-protection authority if you have concerns.
9. Children
TripRide is not directed to children under 13 or a higher minimum age required by local law. Rental eligibility and driver-age requirements are set by the relevant provider. We do not knowingly collect children's information in violation of applicable law. If a child has provided information, a parent or guardian can contact us to request investigation and deletion.
10. Changes and contact
We update this policy when our services or data practices change and show the latest update date. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel, and additional consent will be sought where required.
